It is in human nature to grab and grab more and more and retain it as though one is immortal. In the case of that collectivity we call a political party, it is done collectively. In the case of the empires, now vanished, of earlier centuries and even decades, it must have been done by the combined forces of emperors, dictators, armies and civilian forces. If recorded, written about, it becomes part of history otherwise it is not mentioned.
Who will remember the Bush and Blair conspiracy against Saddam Hussein and Iraq say, five decades later ? Who now remembers the declaration of Winston Churchill that he would not preside over the liquidation of the British empire ?
Look at the political scene both in India and Pakistan with some objectivity. Fortunately, one can remain detached from politics not to blinker one’s views and watch the race, bipolar earlier and now multipolar with Mulayam shouting loudly and declaring his intentions to become the prime minister. In the present competition between partial truths finding the proper balance is a struggle for us. Without becoming a political partisan and ruining mental hygiene, what do we see around now ?
In a nation’s history it keeps happening. These days the media, supposedly independent, exposes only those by exposing whom its own commercial interests are not harmed. How reliable the media itself is questionable also.
Both print and electronic media has been reporting some problems both in India and Pakistan with some lurid details, creating some nausea, trepidation, disgust and ruining the cheerful moods of readers and listeners. IPL cricket matches only seem to provide some relief, an alternative , a diversion from all these days. But they will be over soon and the present problems will linger.
Some news items currently being discussed in India is creating a feeling of despondency for political parties in power in India and for the educated citizen following political developments and other matters cynicism which gets thickened thick day after day.
See some of them.

CBI's independent position must be restored: SC on Coalgate
PTI | Apr 30, 2013
NEW DELHI: In a big embarrassment to the government in the coalgate case, the Supreme Court on Tuesday termed as "very disturbing" the CBI affidavit on sharing its report with the law minister and others and slammed the agency for having kept the court in the dark on the issue. Hearing the coal blocks allocation scam case in a packed courtroom, the bench said "suppression" of the fact that CBI has shared its probe report with the government is "not ordinary". A bench headed by Justice R M Lodha observed that there was a "very disturbing feature" in the affidavit filed on April 26 by CBI director Ranjit Sinha and the agency must be restored to its independent position.

1984 anti-Sikh riots case: Sajjan Kumar acquitted in one case
PTI | Apr 30, 2013 NEW DELHI:
In a major relief to Congress leader Sajjan Kumar, a Delhi court on Tuesday acquitted him in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case while convicting five others for being a part of the mob that killed five Sikhs here...... ...Protesters in big numbers gathered at the Karkardooma district courts complex here and after Kumar's acquittal, complainant Jagdish Kaur sat on protest inside the courtroom saying she would not leave until justice is done........The Delhi Police had earlier probed the riots case and the investigation was handed over to CBI in 2005. CBI had told the court there was a conspiracy of "terrifying proportion" between Kumar and the police during the riots......The agency had said the police had kept its "eyes closed" to the widespread violence.....CBI had also alleged that in all the complaints wherever Kumar's name had cropped up, it was "immediately eliminated" from the Delhi Police records.

Now comes a third piece of insanity.
Sushma says Sonia undemocratic, BJP to ‘boycott’ meetings
Express news service: New Delhi, Tue Apr 30 2013,
The already tense relationship between the government and the main Opposition party lurched sharply to the brink of total breakdown Tuesday after Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj accused UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi of "instigating" the treasury benches to disrupt her speech, and announced that the BJP would not attend any meeting convened by either the Speaker or the parliamentary affairs minister for the rest of the session. The Congress president has "no faith in parliamentary traditions" and "no respect for democratic institutions", she said in an extraordinary attack on Sonia.
==================================
Mayawati, Mulayam Singh and leaders of the BJP get now a chance to criticize the government vehemently taking a moral stand with a pretense as though they themselves, when in power, were averse to such immoral and amoral manipulations.
For decades we have watched it and will watch in future also. Remember the days when Jawaharlal Nehru forced Purushottamdas Tandon to resign from the post of the president of the Congress party and later brought in an ineffective non entity, U.N.Dhebar, to pave the way for the rise of his daughter Indira Gandhi in pursuit of dynastic ambitions, the credo of the Congress party. It has been so except for that brief period when P.V. Narasimha Rao was the prime minister rescuing a nation in deepest financial crisis with extraordinary success. It has been ensured, you know by whom, that there is no memorial built in his name in New Delhi.
Astrological explanation
Such controversial issues come to the fore when the known malefics aspect each other closely. See the Mesha Sankranti of 14 April 2013 horoscope and closest degrees of Mars and Sun and the fifth lord Venus under worst malefic influences. The nation is gripped in a frenzied mood of deepest insanity, a psychosis which may defy any acceptable and rational explanation by psychologists who study individuals more than such collective psychosis.
When Saturn, Rahu get opposed and aspected by Mars and Ketu as is happening now with Sun too joining it in the month of April along with Venus, a nation gets gripped by mass psychosis. And all these are close enough in degrees to deepen its impact.
Three horoscopes at a glance
See three Soorya Veedhi charts of three months, April, May and June first and read the comments given against them .All malefics are aspecting each other or conjoined in Mesha and Tula and in Kendra’s from the lagna in the month of April. Thrice Delhi has experienced earthquakes in this period apart from some hot political issues embarrassing the Congress party leading the UPA II coalition at the center in India.
The fifth lord Venus comes under the grip of all these malefics creating a national neurosis rarely experienced by Indians in recent years.
In the May Soorya Veedhi, the fifth house continues to be under ignition. The sixth lord shows the fight between the two political parties mainly, the Congress and the BJP. The sixth house of the courts with the ninth lord of judiciary, Sun, also placed here is not promising any relief to the Congress led UPA, any relief from the stringent judicial scrutiny of the Supreme Court of India. Will the Supreme Court force the government to come out with a legislation to make the CBI independent? Battered by the CAG, will the government feel happy to have an independent CBI to get shattered?
Will June be better? There is some improvement as far as the fifth house and its lord is concerned. But Mars in the lagna and exalted Saturn the ninth and the tenth lord with Rahu do not promise any relief from the judiciary. But there is some other problem visible here. The border will be tenser than before with China pitched in Ladakh becoming more obdurate.
In 1939 such a fear psychosis had gripped the world with the Second World War spreading panic.
Read this from Dhanu lagna and see the influences on the tenth house with Mars in the lagna for Germany.
Read it again from Vrischika lagna for England, with it facing the war and preparing to see the end of its empire at the end of it.
Destroying democratic traditions turn by turn which started during the era of Indira Gandhi is deep in the marrow of the Congress Party now as a tradition, as a collective habit and as a natural reaction whenever it is cornered as it is now with the Coalgate burning hot. The political party affected most by all these developments in India is the Congress party in a state of utter confusion and behaving with self-defensive bravado. The party taking advantage most from it is the BJP seeking every opportunity to deal a blow to the Congress party at every opportune time.
There will be no relief from this for some more time and the nation will be caught in such mental turmoil, with uncontrolled price rise, lesser job opportunity and deepening cynicism. Arvind Kerjriwal of the AAM party fancying that he can take advantage of it all and preparing to fight elections in Delhi this year himself has to prepare for a shock and get disillusioned at the end of it all. In these encircling cynicisms, people are afraid of his being attacked even and getting hurt physically.
Congress and BJP horoscopes
Congress Party
Jupiter Saturn Rahu from 15 February 2013 to 4 July 2013 Notice the degrees of the lagna and Ketu and the degrees of Moon and Rahu in this horoscope. It is a combination for insanity. In an individual’s horoscope when you see a debilitated fifth lord aspected by malefics you as astrologer know why you must avoid him. A similar situation is present here in a way.
BJP
A horoscope with a bad exchange of third and tenth lord shows its determination to achieve power through coalition partners and drop the talk and promise of the Ram Mandir because it cannot form a single party government with its own majority. But the sixth and eighth lords combined with Rahu ruin Jupiter retrograde here and its idealism here. That is another case of insanity through aggression.
Pakistan
In Pakistan, on the eve of national election, in a rare success story of a weak democracy asserting itself, there are bomb explosions to prevent elections and there is the electrifying presence of Pervez Musharraf facing his own trials now.
In Pakistan it is much worse. Till the end of April in only nine days it has become clear that in the coming elections, the pro-Taliban parties are being spared by terrorists and anti-Taliban party workers are getting. A report in Pakistani newspapers states ” Since April 21, when election campaigns formally started, the Taliban and other militant groups have carried out over 20 attacks on political parties, killing 48 people and injuring over 200.”
Then there is a greater danger looming since democratic elections are regarded as un-Islamic by those terrorists. See this report. ”A statement by the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan issued on March 18 said it all. Declaring elections part of an un-Islamic democratic system bound to serve the interests of infidels and enemies of Islam, it warned voters to stay away from political rallies of three liberal, democratic parties — PPP, Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Awami National Party.”
With it, the strange sight of a former army dictator, Pervez Musharraf being tried for treason and other charges is becoming historic. Earlier army dictators died peaceful deaths except Zial ul Huq. Unless, rescued by the army and asked to leave Pakistan permanently , Musharraf is going to become a rare example of a Pakistani dictator tried and punished.
In Pakistan where the New Year horoscope is the same as India’s but with a different navamsha, similar insanity has gripped the nation on the eve of its election and the trial of Musharraf. In the case of India it is Mithuna navamsha with the fifth house falling under Ketu Rahu axis aspected by Mars conjoined with the fifth lord Venus showing a deepened insanity. In Pakistan’s case it is Vrisha navamsha. In both countries the judiciary has been in news, in India for embarrassing the Congress led UPA government in the coalgate case and the role of the CBI and in Pakistan the judiciary is facing some embarrassment itself in trying Musharraf.
Let some excerpts from the Dawn be quoted here.
1) It is a wrong perception, he said, that the late Gen Ayub Khan had clamped martial law on Oct 7, 1958. Instead, it had been imposed by the then president Iskander Mirza and validated by the Supreme Court on the grounds that the president was sitting in the office and it was in the interest of the state. After the verdict, Gen Ayub became president on Oct 27, 1958.
2) Likewise, the Supreme Court validated the 1977 martial law of Gen Ziaul Haq in the Nusrat Bhutto case by invoking the ‘doctrine of necessity’ because Chaudhry Fazal Ellahi was functioning as president.
3) In the same fashion, the Supreme Court legalized the Oct 12, 1999, martial law by Gen. Musharraf because Rafiq Tarar was in the office of president and all the courts were functioning smoothly, the lawyer said.
4) He said the Nov 3, 2007, emergency was also validated by the apex court in the Iqbal Tikka Khan case on Nov 24, 2007, by relying heavily on the Zafar Ali Shah case, although the verdict was overturned by a larger bench in the July 31, 2009, judgment after holding the proclamation of emergency as unconstitutional.
In India the judiciary is embarrassing the government and in Pakistan a lawyer is showing a mirror to its Supreme Court to self-examine its own role of past years when it sided with army dictators and destroyed democracy.
Democracy struggling to be born and become stable in Pakistan forces this country to view retrospectively its own history of martial madness of past decades and judicial approval of it.
In India, it is the judiciary that is sending shock waves and driving the government mad.
The New Year horoscope of both countries being the same, with different navamshas though, it is to be seen that in both cases the third and ninth houses come under the Rahu Ketu axis and the ninth lord Mars in the eighth house afflicts both Sun the lagna lord and Moon.
The natural disasters apart, this lunacy which afflicts both nations now, as never before, amuses some, shocks many and leads to loss of confidence in the government and political party in power.
The exchange of the tenth and the eighth lords in both horoscopes does not bode well for the party in power in both countries. Has PPP any chance of coming to back to power at all? It appears remote now. Is Imran talking of tsunami earlier now finding himself riding on a wave as he thought he was some months ago? Is Nawab Sharif whom General Pervez Musharraf deposed and captured power coming back to power? And finally what is the fate of Musharraf banned for life from contesting elections?
In the prevailing insanity these questions interest us both in India where the government is caught in a fix and in Pakistan where democracy is struggling to get stabilized.
