G20 summit held in India has addressed several issues very successfully. Vasudev Kutumbkam meaning ‘One Earth One Family One Future’, was the theme of the summit; it should be the motto of all beings on this earth. African Union has been included in the summit for the first time. Many countries unanimously signed documents on so many issues; despite differences on Ukraine issue, there was 100% consensus on New Delhi declaration; Global biofuel alliance has been made. India-Middle East-Europe economic corridor will be developed. ‘Sabka saath sabka vishwaas’ -has become a global mantra now. India plays a major role, a decisive role on the world pedestal now.
Some periods become periods of pride for the nation. The last month has been such a period of achievement and recognition for our country. Space programs have brought glory to India. With Chandrayaan-3 landing on Moon successfully on 23 Aug 2023, India becomes the first nation to land on Southern side of Moon. The whole nation watched the landing while our hearts swelled with pride. Aditya-L1 has been launched on 2 Sep 2023 effectively and we have to wait for some months to see the results. Much was expected or not expected by Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, from Barack Obama, US president, for a quick approval of his plan for an immediate attack on Iran to stop it from making nuclear bombs as western powers and USA too suspect it of doing. Such suspicion would not have existed if Iran had been pliable and a stooge like some Arab countries before the Arab Spring and even after.

Dravid’s achievements in the world of cricket were sort of overshadowed by the presence of so many greats in the Indian team but no one could ever think of leaving him out of the team. Such was his aura that he had virtually become indispensable for the cricketing world, be it any form of cricket. In 1999, Glenn McGrath is believed to have been said if there was one Indian player who would get an automatic entry into an Australian team filled with stars, it would be Rahul Dravid. How many times have we been told that mere combination of Sun and Jupiter in a horoscope creates rajlakshana yoga and here in his chart, we find, Sun and Jupiter together and that too with lord of Kendra and trikona and importantly we have five planets in the tenth house from Moon with all those planets aspecting his tenth house.

Acknowledge the fact now that the Congress party has no leader with a charisma, no star but sycophantic starlets dancing round the dynasty and portraying it as faultless. Two other factors ail this party: the first is the ailment of Sonia Gandhi described as undisclosed but everyone says privately that it is cancer. The more damaging, the other factor is the news circulating of her being the fourth richest politician of the world. The fall of the dynasty is also explainable. If the post of the prime minister is treated by Rahul Gandhi as his personal sinecure it hurts people deeply. It is his immature manner and his failure to deal with the universal corruption gumming up India’s political, bureaucratic and business activities that should be said to the main reason for the dismal failure of the dynasty in recent elections.read more...
