COMPROMISE--- NO ONE WINS: ANNA WILL BREAK FAST
At the end of it all, it will have to be said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh emerges with his shining statesman like speech and Pranab Mukherji for most mature handling of a very delicate situation. read more...read more...
ANNA HAZARE : WHATS NEXT?

This has been the reaction of some. I do not call winning of a toss by a cricket captain in a Test match as winning the match itself. I know from my experience how many objections will be raised about the practicability, legality, constitutionality of the Janlok Pal Bill at various stages, having known these procedures from close quarters. Then the political manipulations. Why will Congress Party accept them to be passed and allow itself to be known as the vanquished? Why will politicians, bureaucrats and businessmen involved in stories of corruption vote for installing a scaffold for them?

AMITABH BACHCHAN : THE LAST SURGE 2

The Last Surge

The Final Rise and Ultimate Fall of Amitabh Bachchan
(Born: 1 1 Oct. 1942 16:00 Hrs., Allahabad, India)

K.B. SINGH
Ujjain

Amitabh Bachhan is in news again as he was in 1982 for an ailment. In the October 2005 issue of the Journal of Astrology, the writer, Kush Singh had anticipated clearly on the basis of the Chara dasha of Tula which has come out correct. At present in the antardasha of Makara, he has been hospitalised and the news is that ailment is more serious than suspected. K.N.Rao.

It is the infallible truth that celebrities over a period of time fade into a period of insignificance quite soon. Public memory being very short, fame is a virtue one cannot lay claims to on a permanent basis.

But then in some cases, when Lord Brahma, the creator is kind, he grants permanent fame to an individual of his choice, depending upon his karmas of the previous life and also the karmas of his parents.

It is the dignity, honesty and integrity with which Harivansh Rai, the noted hindi poet, has lived his life providing a spiritual philosophy through his poems that must have pleased Lord Brahma and resulted in giving him a child with such a brilliant destiny. This child, the boon of Lord Brahma to Harivansh Rai Bachhan came to be known as Amitabh Bachhan.

There have been actors in the past who might have deserved much more fame in terms of their ability but could not get it. There have been many known and respected names in the annals of film history of India, yet, Amitabh outshone them all in terms of popularity. Amitabh is a rare celebrity in the sense that he refuses to turn stale and such is his destiny that fame follows him in whatever he does.

From an astrological point of view, his horoscope became known after K.N. Rao discussed it in great details and with his uncanny ability that left nothing more to be discussed. Yet, I make this attempt in order to show the rise of the cine mega star and his eventual downfall.

As Saturn prepares to leave Taurus, the fourth house of Amitabh, it would no more aspect his tenth house of profession that would suggest that his career is over. Some might say that Amitabh has already enjoyed more than his share of luck and he himself has made statements that he no more aspires for material success or glory.

But when Saturn re-enters Taurus on 8 Jan 2003, the destiny must force itself on the destiny of Amitabh.

As per the law, success or failure do not come as per one's wishes but due to the will of Lord Brahma. Indeed, when Saturn re-enters Taurus for a brief period of three months, Amitabh must get a further boost in his status for the umpteenth time even if he does not want it. Such is the will of God.

For a pseudo-intellectual totally deprived of Hindu values, this further rise in the life of Amitabh might come as a surprise more so because he would be turning sixty, an age when most people retire. But for astrologers, this enhancement of status is hardly surprising.

When Saturn re-enters Taurus on 8-1-2003, it would again aspect the tenth house of Amitabh in his birth horoscope. Saturn would also aspect the tenth house from Moon. Taurus has 33 points in SAV in the fourth house and therefore the transit is strong.

At that time Jupiter would be in Cancer and would also aspect the tenth house of the birth horoscope. Jupiter would be transiting in the tenth house from the Moon as well, indicating a boost in career.

Cancer has an amazing 42 points in SAV and Jupiter in transit in Cancer being exalted is sure to prove excellent.

From 8-1-2003 to 8-4-2003 it is a period of double transit of Saturn and Jupiter not only blessing the tenth house of the birth horoscope but also influencing the tenth house from Moon.

Then, Amitabh has Tula navamsha that means that both Saturn and Jupiter would be influencing the tenth house of navamsha as well. Mars, Venus and Ketu would be transitting over the tenth house of the birth horoscope of Amitabh and Rahu would aspect the tenth from the fourth. All this would happen when Saturn re-enters Taurus on 8-1-2003.

When Saturn re-enters Taurus on 8-1-2003, Amitabh would be running the vimshottari dasha of Mercury-Jupiter. Jupiter, the sub-period lord is excellent as it is exalted in birth horoscope as well as in navamsha. It is placed in the sixth house of the birth horoscope from where it aspects the tenth house. It is also placed in the tenth house from Moon and is again in the tenth in navamsha.

In the dasamsha, Jupiter is second and eleventh lord placed in the second house of wealth and again aspects the tenth house, as eleventh lord in second,Jupiter must increase the wealth and status of Amitabh. Besides, Jupiter is the second and eleventh lord in the birth horoscope too.

In all the four divisional horoscopes, Jupiter influences the tenth house indicating that this sub-period must lift Amitabh further. The sub-period of Jupiter that begins on 12-11-2002 must therefore do good.

It is the cardinal rule of astrology that when something good or bad has to happen, the dasha must unite with the gochara (transit) to plot the rise or fall of the person.

We have already discussed how and why the gochara of Saturn in Taurus and Jupiter in Cancer must further lift the career prospects of Amitabh. Then, the sub-period of Jupiter is also destined to do good.

So how can the Chara dasha portray a different story? From 11-10-2002, as soon as the sub-period of Jupiter begins in the vimshottari scheme, Amitabh would begin the period of Virgo-Virgo in his chara dasha. Virgo has the Amk in it and such an Amk aspects the tenth house. In a way from, 11-10-2002 to 11-10-2003, it is going to be the period of Amk/Amk.

As the karka for career upliftment and prominence, the AMK must lift the status of Amitabh.

Planetary position on 13 January 2002

i. Saturn in Taurus aspects the tenth house from lagna, Moon, Navamsha and Dasamsha.

ii. Jupiter in Cancer aspects the tenth house from lagna and transits over tenth from Moon and navamsha.

iii. Mars, Venus and Ketu in Scorpio on the tenth house of lagna and dasamsha.

iv. Rahu in Taurus aspects the tenth house of lagna and dasamsha.

v. Mercury and Sun in Sagittarius in the eleventh from lagna and dasamsha.

vi. Moon in Taurus aspects the fourth house from lagna and dasamsha.

Shashti Poorti

The period when Saturn re-enters Taurus and remains in it (8-1-2003 to 8-4-2003) is most likely to provide yet another boost in the career of Amitabh. It could easily be a period of crowning glory and the icing on an already famous cake.

It is difficult to predict how exactly would the status increase but taking a non-astrological guess it could be anything from a prestigious award or a string of successful films or a successful stint as an anchor.

What we can say for sure is that between 8 Jan 2003 to 8 April 2003 Amitabh is entering a golden period that might take him to dizzy heights in terms of financial success, honours, rewards, titles and popularity amongst the Indian masses.

Amitabh is a slave of his karma and his karma is to attain success time and again so what if he does not aspire it anymore.

In the ultimate analysis, the will of God and the blessings of a pious father must have their say. This has to be the last hurrah and the final triumph for Amitabh as his chara dasha changes for the worse from 11-10-2003 that must reduce him to a non-entity in terms of commercial success.

The end of an innings

The career of any individual is like an innings of a cricket batsman. It must end sooner than later even if it were to be a glorious one. The life of Amitabh Bachchan has been legendry.

When an Indian becomes famous, it is very sweet because you become the darling of one billion people. In this regard, the experience of Amitabh must have been a fairy tale one but also one that might have made a lesser human being arrogant and full of false pride.

It is a tribute to the genes of Harivansh Rai that Amitabh has handled his amazing popularity with modesty and humility keeping with philosophy of the senior Bachchan that nothing remains forever.

When Amitabh begins his Tula chara dasha from 11 Oct 2003, he would need the philosophy of his father more than anyone else. It would be the dasha of the GK as Libra has the GK in it. This indicates a combination of things such as bad health, danger to body, accidents, court cases and a bit of controversy. The chara dasha of Libra becomes more sinister because so many karkas end up being ill placed from Tula.

The twelfth house would have the AK, Amk, PK & BK resulting in a decline in career, problem to father and children. The MK is also ill placed in the eighth house indicating problems to mother.

The agony would start with the beginning of the sade-sati when Saturn enters Virgo, the 8th house of Amitabh behind his natal Moon. Virgo has only 20 points in SAV. It would then be the vimshottari period of Ketu, the spiritual teacher.

The dangerous sub-period would have to be that of Sun being seventh lord in the eighth and in Mrityubhaga. Then Ketu-Sun are in mutually 6/8 position both in birth horoscope and navamsha.

In Yogini it would be the period of Sankata or Rahu that is a killer being in the seventh house of the birth horoscope. The dangerous period would start as soon as Saturn enters Virgo and before the sub-period of Sun in the major period of Ketu is over.

Ketu-Sun : 26-5-2009 to 30-9-2009.
Saturn enters Virgo on 10 Sep 2009

Taking the common period we have a zone from 10 Sep 2009 to 30 Sep 2009. Indeed, the month of SEPTEMBER 2009 is going to see the fall of a great star, the likes of which perhaps may never shine in the future on the Indian silver screen.

Planetary position on 18-21 September 2009

i. Saturn in eighth from lagna and twelfth from Moon causing sade-sati with weak SAV in
Virgo.

ii. Jupiter in debilitation in twelfth from lagna with weak SAV in Capricorn.

iii. Mars in Gemini aspecting the eighth house.

iv. Rahu-Ketu along the 6/12 axis.

v. Sun and Mercury in eighth from lagna and twelfth from Moon.

vi. Moon in eighth from lagna caught by transit Saturn in eighth house.

The horoscope of Amitabh with only malefics in kendras and no benefics in kendra is always likely to be prone to accidents and disease more so because the eighth house has so many planets and the natural karka for health, Sun being in mrityubhaga.

Then the shodashamsha too is dangerous with Saturn and Mars mutually opposing each other along the 4-10 axis indicating a permanent danger from accidents caused by vehicles or machinery. A sudden death caused by an abrupt disease or an accident by a vehicle on the ground or in the air cannot be ruled out in the case of Amitabh.

Acknowedgement

The horoscope of Mr. Bachchan is a lesson for budding astrologers. It teaches one to not rely solely on the birth horoscope. It is a lesson I learnt from the writings of my jyotish guru Shri K.N. Rao who taught me through his books and showed the importance of the divisional horoscopes, especially navamsha. Be it Amitabh or George Bush, it is the navamsha that glitters.

Then I must also pay my respects to Rao Saheb for coming out with the composite technique of predictions where he taught the use of combining the various methods in order to get a deeper prediction.

Now I never analyse a horoscope without using the chara dasha, sarvastakvarga, yogini, double transit of Saturn and Jupiter and also the importance of the sub period of a planet in MB. Of course, the vimshottari cannot be overlooked.

This article on Amitabh would not have been possible had Shri Rao not discussed his horoscope in his book, Ups & Downs in Career.
