TRAILANGA SWAMI - II
In 1810, Raja of Ujjain paid a visit to Kashi. He along with Kashi Naresh, was on a boat going towards Manikarnika ghat when he saw the shining figure of Swami sitting on water. On inquiry, he was told about the extra ordinary powers of the saint. The King was very impressed and as if sensing his wish to see him, Swami appeared on the boat. The King was glad and showed his extra ordinary bejeweled sword to him. The saint did not even think for a moment and threw the sword in water. When the King got in a fit of rage and grief, Swami put his hand in water and extracted two similar swords from the water. He asked the King to recognize his sword, which he obviously could not do. Swami told him sternly that he was troubled for the sword when he could not even recognize which one was his sword. That was his way to show him the futility of the physical attractions of the world. read more...read more...
JALLIANWALA BAGH MASSACRE
One year more than a century has passed, still no one has forgotten the brutality with which the atrocious killing at Jallianwala Bagh was carried out. Jallianwala Bagh is located at a distance of barely one and a half kilometers from the Golden Temple in Amritsar. On 13 Apr 1919, on the day of Baisakhi (an important Hindu festival) at 5:37 in the evening, when more than 10,000 people (some say there were 15,000 to 20,000) were gathered in the Jallianwala Bagh, acting Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer ordered to shoot at the unarmed, innocent public.

PRIME MINISTERS WITH A MISSION - PART I

Some periods become periods of pride for the nation. The last month has been such a period of achievement and recognition for our country. Space programs have brought glory to India. With Chandrayaan-3 landing on Moon successfully on 23 Aug 2023, India becomes the first nation to land on Southern side of Moon. The whole nation watched the landing while our hearts swelled with pride. Aditya-L1 has been launched on 2 Sep 2023 effectively and we have to wait for some months to see the results. India running the vimshottari dasha of Moon-Venus, both dasha lords placed in the third house of travel and communication, taking us to Moon, towards Sun, is marvellous indeed. While Russia’s mission to Moon failed, we succeeded; India is the fourth nation to succeed in space expeditions; USA, Russia and China being the other three.

G20 summit held in India has addressed several issues very successfully. Vasudev Kutumbkam meaning ‘One Earth One Family One Future’, was the theme of the summit; it should be the motto of all beings on this earth. African Union has been included in the summit for the first time. Many countries unanimously signed documents on so many issues; despite differences on Ukraine issue, there was 100% consensus on New Delhi declaration; Global biofuel alliance has been made. India-Middle East-Europe economic corridor will be developed. ‘Sabka saath sabka vishwaas’ -has become a global mantra now. India plays a major role, a decisive role on the world pedestal now.

Our country is improving each day and bringing laurels in sports too. Eighteen-year-old Rameshbabu Praggnanandhha played neck to neck with the best chess players in 2023 FIDE Chess World Cup. Though he fell a bit short in the finals against world number one, we are so proud. Neeraj Chopra won a gold for India in World Athletic Championship. The Asian Cup has been lifted by India with so much ease, it’s incredible.

Our achievements are becoming a point of envy for our neighbouring country. Many people from Pakistan can be seen on TV stating they wished they were a part of India.Surya Sankranti Aug 2023 - Journalofastrology.com

Such periods of glory must be checked from the respective Surya veedhi chart. In the Surya veedhi chart for last month, many planets are placed in the 10H, aspected by Saturn and Jupiter. Except Rahu, Ketu and Venus, all planets are connected to the tenth and eleventh houses making India make an extraordinary mark on the world forum. Moon under the influence of Mars and Saturn though does mean that India will have to face some pain too in this period, which the terrorist attack on Kashmir is showing.

All these memorable events happening in the time when Narendra Modi is our Prime Minister, so he is getting all the name and fame. My esteemed Guruji Shri K. N. Rao always insists on the major role the stars of the head of the nation play in the growth of the country. On my last visit to Bangalore on Guru Purnima when Modiji was in USA, appreciated and applauded; I wondered how he was doing what he was, so very effectively. I related the same to my Guruji who gave me a vital lecture in interpreting horoscopes and exploring if the person is born with a mission. Shri K. N. Rao ji explained who are the people who are born with a mission; who are the people under whose leadership, an institute, a state or a country reaches new heights of glory!  He had written two articles way back in the last century, which are a must read.

1) Are you born with a Mission?

2) Gajkesari Yoga - Glory or Disaster?

‘Am I born with a mission?’ is a question my respected Guruji Shri K.N. Rao has been frequently asked; especially when he was on his trip to USA, he was loaded with this question.

He further explained: Every third person thinks he is born with a mission. Debbie Ress and Leona used to stay in Delhi to study astrology. Ress was told by some astrologer about this mission thing. She came to Rao Sir to confirm the same; but, he told her not to have such an illusion. ‘Lead a good life. Be honest. This is enough for you.’ The rate at which people pounced the question at him, it looked like it is expected that half the people in the world will be having a mission in life. How is this possible? Mission is when one person out of lakhs, out of millions is chosen. Mission means lot of pain, lot of rivalry, lot of criticism, lot of scandal mongering and you still have to survive and carry on, to complete that task allocated to you. Hundreds of people are there with their selfish motives. They join you with their selfish aims; but, the one with a mission manages them all and still continues with the God given zeal.

Normally, we do not say ‘Mission’; rather we should check idealism in a person. How to find idealism in a horoscope! A good Gaj Kesari yoga will show idealism. When there is a good Gaj Kesari yoga encompassing 10H or 10L or both, then that idealism comes in the work area. Connection of Jupiter with tenth house, tenth lord, even fifth house, means some idealism will come in a person; the condition of Jupiter gives us a much clearer picture. When most of these parameters are positive, person is said to be born with a mission. Divine-will works for the people who are born with a mission. They will face hardships, scheming, opposition, intrigues, but what divine wants that will be done.

This is an occasion to study the horoscopes of our Prime Ministers and analyse the work done by them in this light. The horoscopes of Prime Ministers who stayed for a little while are also being discussed as a comparison. The points we would need to check are:

1.     Gaj Kesari yoga

2.     Connection of Jupiter with 10H/L from lagna

3.     Connection of Jupiter with 10H/L from Moon

4.     Institution Building:

Lagna lord and tenth lord combine in kendras

5.     Condition of Jupiter

JL NEHRU

During the election of the Congress President before our independence on 29 Apr 1946, out of 15 Provincial Congress Committees, 12 voted for Patel to be President, three abstained from nomination process and none voted for Nehru, clearly highlighting the Sardar’s popularity in the party; still on Gandhiji’s instructions, Patel backed out and Nehru was made the Congress President. It was clear that it would be President of Congress, who would be invited to form the Government at the centre. Thus, the person elected as the Congress President would be the Prime Minister of Independent India.

For the first Prime Minister of India- JL Nehru, Moon, Venus and Mercury are well placed in quadrants. Malavya Mahapurush yoga is formed with Venus. A beautiful Mala Yog is formed in the horoscope of JL Nehru, where all rashis from Karka to Dhanu have a planet, forming a garland, the yoga has the power to lift even an ordinary kundli to a high stature. The graceful placement of planets gave him a dignified personality. He had a charm about him. He loved children and was fondly called ‘Chacha Nehru’.

JLNehru Horoscope - JournalofAstrology.com

Though there is no Gaj Kesari yoga formed in this horoscope. But, three benefics Jupiter, Venus, Mercury and 10L Mars, all aspect 10H, both from lagna and Moon; which shows a very strong tenth house and a certain amount of idealism also. His Jupiter is weak. He tried to work well for India, but committed some extremely sorry mistakes, which cost India heavily.

First of all, we were on the brink of attaining independence and Nehru refused to give two seats to Muslim league as initially promised. He wrote to Choudhary Khaliquzzaman and Nawab Ismail Khan that only one of them would be taken into the ministry. Here was sown the seed of mistrust. When India was not even independent, the Muslims were given this treatment; so obviously they would fight for their rights, which they did and so much so that India was divided and Pakistan came into existence.

Nehru, Josip Broz Tito President of Yugoslavia and Gamal Abdel Nasser of Egypt came together to make the Third Bloc after the second world war.  There were two major power blocs after the WWII - US and supporting countries were on one side & Soviet Union and supporting countries on the other. People mocked the third bloc formation. The three participating nations could have been finished in one day, by the major power blocks. They had nothing, they had no strength of the army; what were they thinking making a so-called power block.

Nehru had the influence of Jupiter, Venus, Mercury and Mars on the 10H, both from lagna and Moon. He was an idealist in the international arena. But, he was a fatuous idealist. While he was content and beaming with ‘Hindu Cheeni Bhai Bhai’ fancies, China was getting all set to attack India.

When we look at the condition of his Jupiter, it is in a Guru Chandala yoga; Jupiter as 9L ill-placed in the 6H with Ketu is aspected by Mars. His 2H of samskaras has Saturn in inimical rashi Simha. His anti-Hindu attitude is clear from these combinations. Nehru was annoyed when Rajendra Prasad went to lay the foundation stone of Somnath temple in Gujrat. He was annoyed when Rajendra Prasad went to Varanasi to wash the feet of saints.

By and large, his Moon mahadasha and Mars mahadasha, went well. Dasha of lagna lord, tenth lord and exalted planets generally give good results. It was in the mahadasha of Rahu that Nehru committed many blunders. His Rahu placed in the 12H of retirement, did not augur well, neither for him nor for the country. Rahu is in the tenth house from his 10L Mars, aspected by an afflicted Jupiter. Indo-China war happened. Nehru was so distressed. Then he got paralysis and eventually died in Rahu-Mercury. Lord Mountbatten India’s last Governor General, without knowing astrology he said that if Nehru had retired in 1955, he would have been remembered as the greatest Statesman of the 20th century.

Maulana Azad wrote about Nehru in his book “India wins Freedom” which was published by Orient Longman. Nehru had asked Maulana to have the complete book printed 25 years after his death as Nehru’s follies were highlighted in this book. The unexpurgated edition was released in 1988, twenty-four years after Nehru’s death in 1964. Maulana Azad wrote in ‘India wins Freedom’:

“My second mistake was that when I decided not to stand myself, I did not support Sardar Patel. We differed on many issues but I am convinced that if he had succeeded me as Congress President he would have seen that the Cabinet Mission Plan was successfully implemented. He would have never committed the mistake of Jawaharlal which gave Mr Jinnah the opportunity of sabotaging the plan. I can never forgive myself when I think that if I had not committed these mistakes, perhaps the history of the last ten years would have been different.”

INDIRA GANDHI

Indira Gandhi was born with a horoscope which had an amazing potential to rise. It is well known that her father, the anglicised JL Nehru married a simple Kamla Kaul from Chandni Chowk as there was great promise for shining progeny in her horoscope. Indira’s horoscope just reflected the great promise in the horoscope of her mother (tentative horoscope given in ‘The Nehru Dynasty’ by Shri K.N. Rao).

She was born with a Mahabhagya yoga giving her the great fortune of becoming the first female Prime Minister of our country. More so, her horoscope has three powerful exchanges; this is a special horoscope for astrological study. But, She has no Gaj Kesari in her horoscope, like her father. The tenth house from lagna has no influence of Jupiter; it is aspected by Saturn. The tenth from Moon is also not directly influenced by Jupiter. The 10L from Moon i.e. Venus is in exchange with Jupiter. Both from lagna and Moon, Jupiter influences her fifth house, giving her a spiritual inclination (besides other factors). We know that she had visited Ma Anandmoyee many times and spent many hours in her divine company.

After death of Lal Bahadur Shastri, it was time to choose a new PM, the two contenders were Morarji Desai and Indira Gandhi. Out of 524, Indira got 355 votes and Morarji got the remaining 169. Indira was sworn in as the third PM of India on 24 Jan 1966 becoming the first woman Prime Minister of India and the second woman Prime Minister of the world, just after Sirimavo Bandarnaike of Sri Lanka. She was running the dasha of Jupiter-Sun at that time; both involved in Rajlakshan yog. Indira_Gandhi Horoscope - JournalofAstrology.com

Jupiter retrograde and vargottam ninth lord of luck, placed in the eleventh house, aspected by Sun and Mercury from 5th house, is in kendra from tenth lord Mars, showing the lady was destined to hold this elite position. In a sudden splurge of luck, Indira Gandhi became the Prime Minister of India.

Jupiter is in exchange with the sixth lord Venus; which conventionally is a Dainya yoga but when we modernise the meaning, like respected Shri K.N. Rao ji has done, we see struggles and competition leading to conquests. So many times, she was stuck in hardships, but she fought back and emerged a winner. There was a time when a big rift developed in the party; there emerged a situation whereby the congress party headed for a split Congress-R under Indira and Congress-O under the Syndicate. Inspite of being the Prime Minister, she was thrown out of the Congress party.   Still Indira Gandhi survived and fought back with greater zest.

Jupiter is not forming a Gaj Kesari yoga but Jupiter influencing her Sun, Moon and lagna lord is a brilliant feature of her horoscope. From Moon, we see Jupiter in the 5H; Sun and Mercury are in 11H as lords of 6th and 8th houses, aspected by Mars from 8H. Many planets influencing the 11H from Moon show her inclination to win, come what may.

There were times when she was at her peak; that time Baruah (only Assamese to be elected as President of Indian National Congress), had said that ‘India is Indira and Indira is India’. He did not know that it was the planets doing that for her. Saturn was transiting in its strongest house Vrishabh at that time, which has 44 points in Sarvashtakvarga in the chart of Independent India. There were times when she fought the war with Pakistan to support the people in East Pakistan; Pakistan was divided and Bangladesh came into being. In that Indo-Pak war, a whopping 93,000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered. Saturn transiting in Vrishabh over 32 points in ashtakvarga of Indira Gandhi had to give her loads of credit.

There were times when India faced extreme poverty, Saturn had come to Mithun, the weakest house in ashtakvarga and things had slipped from her hands. There had come a cartoon in the Bengali newpaper - where a man carrying Rohu fish (considered a delicacy) reaches home and asks his wife to cook the fish but then how to do that as there was no oil at home. The frustrated man swings the fish in the pond nearby and the fish screams - Jai Indira. Indira Gandhi was so unpopular at that time.

Then there were also times when she was at her decided low, taking decisions like Emergency for the nation; this was the time of emergency which is like a black spot in the history of independent India. On 25 June 1975, in the Ramlila grounds a huge rally was held, headed by Jai Prakash Narayan, and slogans like “Simhasan khali karo, Janta aati hai.” were shouted.

On 26 June 1975, internal emergency was declared in India. Sanjay Gandhi played a major role in it. Jai Prakash Narayan was put behind bars on the night of 25th June 1975 under Section 107. Newspapers were not circulated the next morning. Morarji Desai, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Charan Singh were among the leaders arrested. All opponents were put in jail. Newspaper and media were no longer free. The news were to be scanned at the Prime Minister’s residence before the broadcast. People could have no rights and could question none. Government had all the rights. One lakh, ten thousand people were put behind bars and anarchy ruled. She was running the dasha of Saturn-Mercury. Her tenth house is aspected by Saturn, the seventh and the eighth lord and the tenth lord is aspecting the eighth house, so some jerk with reference to career is certainly indicated.

But we must remember that she did bounce back in Jan 1980 and became Prime Minister again. In 1984 June, she was again caught up in a scandal with heavy shooting inside Harminder Saheb. Few months later, vexed community retaliated, she was shot dead at her premises by her guards.

Whatever she did, somewhere she won, somewhere she lost but we cannot say much about idealism in this case; her aspiration to win superseded all.

Biju Patnaik said that Indira Gandhi had told him four or five years ago, “There is no such thing as morality in politics; it is only success which must be achieved by any means.” Elections must be made so expensive that opposition parties should not be even in the race. Indira Gandhi wanted to have the same type of powers as Tito and Nasser had. [Chandrashekhar – The Survivor by Sh. K.N. Rao]

RAJIV GANDHI

Rajiv Gandhi became the Prime Minister of India in the most unprecedented circumstances after the assassination of his mother Indira Gandhi. Pranab Mukherjee and PV Narasimha Rao were the two strong contenders as they were the seniormost. Serious cat fights were on to grab the post at that time, as LK Jha ICS officer, who held several important posts, told Shri K. N. Rao. Amongst this pandemonium, President Zail Singh who was very loyal to Indira Gandhi, made Rajiv Gandhi take the oath of Prime Minister without much delay on that very day, though their mutual terms were spoilt very soon. Indira Gandhi was assassinated by Sikh bodyguards and soon after her death, started a massive killing of the Sikhs on the rebound, which inspite of his best efforts and insistence Giani Zail Singh was unable to control as he got no cooperation from Rajiv Gandhi.  Rajiv_Gandhi Horoscope - JournalofAstrology.com

Rajiv Gandhi was born with a Mahabhagya yoga, just like his mother Indira Gandhi. Rajiv Gandhi has a Gaj Kesari yoga in his lagna; conjunct along with is his 10L Venus; idealism had to be there. He had this extremely strong 11th house with 50 points in sarvashtakvarga. A person who didn’t intend to enter politics had become the Prime Minister of India, call it circumstances, call it the play of fate. It was the mahadasha of Rahu and antardasha of Jupiter had just started. Jupiter is involved in a powerful Gaj Kesari yoga in kendra, both from Moon and lagna, the Gaj kesari is there; it’s 8th lordship suddenly catapulted Rajiv Gandhi to the position of Prime Minister. In navamsha, Jupiter is exalted and aspected by exalted Mars. In the following elections, Congress won a total of 414 seats out of a total of 543. Never before a single party had won so many seats in the elections.

A very important point of his horoscope is that Rajiv Gandhi’s lagna lord Sun and tenth lord Venus conjunct in kendra is a combination of Institution building. Many institutions have been made in his name and his family members’ name. A Right to Information query raised in 2013 says that over 450 schemes, building projects and institutions etc. have been named after the three of them – Rajiv Gandhi, his mother Indira Gandhi and his grandfather JL Nehru.

Now, see the flip side. Clutter of many planets forming Shoola yoga in lagna and aspect of Saturn pricks this Gaj Kesari. Aspect of 7L Saturn shows the influence of his wife in his endeavours. Saturn is also the opposition. Saturn is also the 6th lord, aspecting the 8th lord Jupiter and was bound to give him problems.

He was an immature Prime Minister and just followed the advice of people around him. In 1986 he reverted the Shah Bano case to please the Muslims. Soon after, he allowed the Ayodhya temple locks to be opened to balance out and placate the Hindus. It was like he was destined to play a pivotal role in crucial events and he did it.

In May 1987, Bofors scandal sprang up, it was charged that officials from India and Sweden, have received money in the Bofors weapons contract deal.  It was said that Rajiv Gandhi as a Prime minister took commission. People like Arun Nehru and VP Singh, ganged up against him and took maximum advantage of the situation, defaming the Prime Minister, though there was no evidence to prove it in the audit report. “Rajiv, the clean as he was called, was portrayed, through sheer lack of judgement and immaturity, as the most corrupt Indian Prime Minister ever. Till then no Prime Minister had been termed as corrupt.” [Nehru Dynasty by Shri K.N. Rao]. It was the period of Rahu-Saturn and he had to face terrible disgrace.

In Rahu-Mercury, he lost elections and became a mere Opposition leader. The same antardasha brought him to his violent end when he was assassinated on 21 May 1991.

PV NARSIMHA RAO

Never in the history of India did we get such a well-read intelligent Prime Minister who knew 17 languages, which he could read, write and speak. He participated in operation ‘Polo’ to fight against the Nizam of Hyderabad as a trained guerilla fighter in 1940s. Later he became a member of Legislative Assembly in Andhra Pradesh for twenty years (1957-1977) and later MP for many years. PV_Narasimha_Rao Horoscope - JournalofAstrology.com

He had a chance to meet well known astrologer Vemuri Rammurthy Shastri, who gave him a prediction that in 15 days he would become the Chief Minister of the state. He said when he  would come to the center, then also he would be at a very high position. The prediction came so true. He did become Chief Minister and later, he did become the Minister of Home Affairs, Minister of External Affairs and then the Prime Minister.

He was not to become the Prime Minister, but the circumstances made him so. In the 1991 elections, Congress got the maximum seats. Sonia Gandhi of Italian origin could not become the Prime Minister. Rajiv Gandhi had been assassinated. Sanjay Gandhi had already died in an accident. Children of Sonia & Rajiv Gandhi were not big enough. At this time a mature leader with Congress was PV Narsimha Rao. He was suffering from diabetes. He was all set to leave for his hometown, thinking to lead a retired life. His stuff was all packed when he was approached and made the Prime Minister of India on 21 June 1991. It was the very first time that a person who was not belonging to the Nehru family was made the Prime Minister. He was running the dasha of Mars-Rahu. MDL Mars placed in 10H conjunct with Sun, both digbali planets conjunct with vargottam Mercury; all aspecting 4H of ‘simhasan’ (throne) gave him a high position. Mars as the 8L brought in the surprise element and he suddenly became the non-dynastic Prime Minister, not belonging to Gandhi family.

In his horoscope, there is no Gaj Kesari yoga. There is no influence of Jupiter on 10th house from lagna. The 5L Saturn from lagna is conjunct with Jupiter for PV Narsimha Rao. From Moon, Jupiter is the 10L aspecting its own house.

Lordship of 8th and 12th lords in the 10H with the 10L Mercury perhaps contributed to the ups and downs in his career and a big delay in coming to this high position. Even though, his 10L Mercury is vargottam and is aspected by Jupiter and Venus in navamsha.

When Narsimha Rao became the Prime Minister, at that time, India was going through its worst economic crisis. He brought in Manmohan Singh, a non-political economist, as the financial Minister and kept the ‘Industries’ to himself. He made many important decisions to get rid of licenses at every step to liberalise the economy and was well appreciated for that. Manmohan Singh, an acclaimed economist worked hand in hand to implement all those LPG reforms.

His term was not an easy one. It was in his regime that India had to mortgage its gold to get through the difficult times. Between July 4 and 18, 1991, the RBI pledged 46.91 tonnes of gold with the Bank of England and the Bank of Japan to raise $400 million. But as the economic situation improved, the government repurchased the gold before December that year and transferred it to the RBI. [Indian Express] PV Narsimha Rao is known as the ‘Father of Indian Economic reforms.’ and is given credit for pulling India out of near bankruptcy. Mars and Mercury conjunct in the 10H with Sun indicates the work done for economy of the country.

Many problems also occur when there is a connect of 8th and 10th like in this case. He had to face so many issues and kept getting stuck in legal cases.

In his time as Prime Minister, he faced a lot of charges! When Harshad Mehta scam came up, Harshad Mehta implicated the Prime Minister too.  Also, he was accused of horse trading when No-confidence motion was passed during his term and he supposedly offered millions of rupees to members of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) etc. Then his son Prabhakar Rao got entangled in the urea-scam. His later years were marked by political isolation because of so many corruption charges; though he was eventually acquitted of all those charges before his death.

In his own party, Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar gave a factually incorrect statement, ‘Narsimha Rao was the first BJP Prime Minister and not Atal Bihari’. He had to face so much opposition inside his party.

It is apparent that Sonia Gandhi did not like him at all. When he died in 2004 because of a heart attack, his body could not be taken inside the Congress quarters, let alone have a samadhi for him in Delhi, like the other Prime Ministers. Eventually his last rites were done in South.

He was cremated with full state honours in Hyderabad, after the then Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Y.S.Rajashekhar Reddy intervened. His body was kept in state at the Jubilee Hall in Hyderabad.

ATAL BIHARI VAJPAI

When he was a young Parliamentarian of Jansangh, Nehru heard his speech and said “This man will become Prime Minister of India one day”, this was in 1962, in the special session of Parliament in the middle of Indo-China war. Though he opposed Nehru, Nehru could see that special quality in him. From 1962 to 2004, forty-two years he remained in public life. He spoke well and came up with good policies. A very special feature about him was that his opponents also liked him. He accepted things impartially, was a bit liberal too and was not a fanatic as Congress men or Jansanghis were expected to be. His respect for other parties and leaders made him unique. Prime Minister Narsimha Rao of Congress party chose Vajpayee (who was Opposition leader at that time) as the leader of the Indian delegation to the 1994 session of the Human Rights Commission at Geneva. Vajpayee’s picture where he was hugging Salman Khurshid after returning from Geneva is a memorable picture. AB Vajpai Horoscope - JournalofAstrology.com

There is no Gaj Kesari Yog in his horoscope. His 10L Sun is with Jupiter and Mercury, aspected by exalted Saturn, forming Rajyogas; four planets directly connected with 10H; Jup and Sun together form Rajlakshan yog and give a high quality of profession. Both from lagna and Moon, his 10H and 10L have an influence of Jupiter; Jupiter is responsible for improving the quality of career, for giving that sheen of idealism to his career. He had a good career of around 50 years.

An excellent orator, his rajyoga forming planets are connected to his second house giving him a powerful speech and making him an awesome speaker. Moon in lagna is debilitated but it is the 9L conjunct with Venus again forming a rajyoga.

He was the PATH BREAKER, he was the one to pave his way into the higher realms of government, when first time BJP came up as the biggest party with 161 seats. There was no clear majority, but Vajpayee ji was asked to form the government but the numbers were too less to reach the mark. He tried but could not have a majority of seats and the first time in the history of India, the government fell in 13 days on 1 June 1996. Vajpayee ji gave a rocking speech in Parliament, full of positivity and hope, which is remembered till date.

Then Deve Gowda fumbled with his thirteen-party coalition but could barely hold it for 10 months. Then IK Gujral was made the Prime Minister for another year, confusion prevailed and in 1998 elections BJP came up as the winning party; this time it formed NDA and came to power. It was Jayalalitha with 27 members of AIDMK who decided to withdraw her part support and government fell in 13 months. His government had fallen only by a single vote. Girdhar Gomango came all the way from Orissa, voted against Vajpayee and the government fell. But better time had to come and in next elections NDA won and got to complete its five-year term. That was on 13 Oct 1999 when he was running the dasha of Rahu-Moon-Sun; Rahu in karka in 9H; Rahu in karka generally gives good results; Antardasha lord Moon is 9L and Sun 10L, both luminaries involved in Rajyog formed with kendra-trine lordships.

In his leadership India started on the path to becoming an Atomic power and see now where our country has reached. Nuclear tests at Pokhran were done in his time. He passed the Chandrayan -I project on 15 Aug 2003. He was the first to inaugurate Metro project for Delhi. Golden Quadrilateral project – the network of roads to join Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta and Chennai, was planned in 1999 and launched in 2001. Telecom policy was launched, from where our country has come a long way now. He initiated the privatisation of many companies. Here is an example of a man unique in his own way, a leader who earned the respect of not only his party but also the members of other parties.

- The Gaj Kesari Yoga and other connects have been discussed in the birth chart only. For the complete analysis, it is mandatory to see the vargas and dasha pattern.

- We do not have verified horoscopes of IK Gujral and Manmohan Singh, hence those are not being discussed.
