TRAILANGA SWAMI - II
In 1810, Raja of Ujjain paid a visit to Kashi. He along with Kashi Naresh, was on a boat going towards Manikarnika ghat when he saw the shining figure of Swami sitting on water. On inquiry, he was told about the extra ordinary powers of the saint. The King was very impressed and as if sensing his wish to see him, Swami appeared on the boat. The King was glad and showed his extra ordinary bejeweled sword to him. The saint did not even think for a moment and threw the sword in water. When the King got in a fit of rage and grief, Swami put his hand in water and extracted two similar swords from the water. He asked the King to recognize his sword, which he obviously could not do. Swami told him sternly that he was troubled for the sword when he could not even recognize which one was his sword. That was his way to show him the futility of the physical attractions of the world. read more...read more...
JALLIANWALA BAGH MASSACRE
One year more than a century has passed, still no one has forgotten the brutality with which the atrocious killing at Jallianwala Bagh was carried out. Jallianwala Bagh is located at a distance of barely one and a half kilometers from the Golden Temple in Amritsar. On 13 Apr 1919, on the day of Baisakhi (an important Hindu festival) at 5:37 in the evening, when more than 10,000 people (some say there were 15,000 to 20,000) were gathered in the Jallianwala Bagh, acting Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer ordered to shoot at the unarmed, innocent public.

CRICKET, IDIOT BOXES AND ASTROLOGERS

I had written the following when the league stages of the World Cricket Cup matches were going on. Today (26 March) an Australian cricket crocodile gobbled up some anchors of idiot boxes, astro idiots and the Chennai fish named Chanakya credited by some one with prophetic powers. But read the following first.
===================================
“Let me state very clearly that I never use the national horoscope for our sports glories or ignominies but there is no other way of explaining the perpetuation of the craze for cricket at the cost of other games in India. Mine is a futile attempt is what I am aware of and therefore my apologies........... But these days you have women anchors in Hindi television channels glibly reeling of cricket jargon with greater ease than the former Test cricket players as commentators and critics in the same programmes of these television channels. The presence of a
feminine face is all that matters and necessary commercially. The nonsensical prattle from a feminine mouth is tolerated. ...No wonder, the debate and talk is whether India would retain world championship in the Cricket Championship.

I am asked this question and I have no astrological basis to answer this as the astrological techniques I use are from match to match if and when I see them on my television channels. Here prashna kundali helps more and more if someone drops in and ask a question.

BUT MY ASSESSMENT, NON-ASTROLOGICAL, IS THAT INDIA WOULD BE THE FIRST OR SECOND IN ITS POOL AT THE KNOCK OUT STAGE AVOIDING CLASH WITH AUSTRALIA OR NEW ZEALAND, LIKELY TOP TWO FROM THE OTHER POOL AND GIVEN SOME LUCK MAY REACH THE SEMIFINAL ALSO. THEREAFTER IT IS QUESTION MARK THOUGH THE HOROSCOPE OF MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI IS SHOWING THE GOOD PERFORMANCE OF INDIAN TEAM. BUT THEN I WILL NOT DEPEND ON ONE SINGLE HOROSCOPE TO VENTURE INTO A CRICKET , IDIOT BOXES AND ASTROLOGERS PREDICTION......THE TOP CONTENDERS FOR THE TITLE SEEM TO ME TO BE AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND AND
EVEN SOUTH AFRICA.
(INCURABLE CRICKET "FLU" OF INDIA - KN RAO,  March 2015, 12:35 PM)

I had used my cricket judgement not astrology but inspite of all this the email bombing I talked of continues, one by an abusive astrologer with low upbringing showing his inability to tell after looking at the close position of Sun and Moon in a horoscope whether it is an amvasya birth or of Shukla Pratipada and I do not expect this ill educated fellow to know the enigmatic role of the fifth lord as the dasha of fall also for politicians.

The other not abusive but boastful keeps flooding his astrological predictions about cricket repeatedly. Let me reproduce some among many regularly bombed into my emails omitting his email identity...

Subject: Fw: Sunil Gavaskar challenges Astrologer!

Sunil Gavaskar vs .......Astrologer World Cup cricket challenge 'on' today. Gavaskar has tipped Australia to win the semifinal at Sydney. Indian_Astrologer swears by the stars that India will win. Funny! Gavaskar's own birth horoscope says that his heart's desire will be fulfilled today without a shadow of doubt. He himself has said his heart wants India to win, though his mind thinks Australia will win. But the Astrologer doesn't go by his heart or his mind, rather by the objective messages from the stars in the sky. Gavaskar's wish will fructify, his mind will disappoint. India will win.
Gallantly.

World Cup 2015: 'Chanakya II' predicts India's victory against Australia
Thursday, 26 March 2015 - 9:52am IST | Place: Chennai | Agency: ANI

A fish named Chanakya II in Chennai has predicted team India's victory in the cricket World Cup semi-finals against Australia in Sydney. A fish named Chanakya II in Chennai has predicted team India's victory in the cricket World
Cup semi-finals against Australia in Sydney. The fish is owned by a Non-Governmental Organisation, Indian Community Welfare Organisation (ICWO), which aims at boosting vulnerable communities including women and children.
The result of the quarter finals and the past semi-final matches was correctly predicted by Chanakya II. "Today, it predicts that the match between Australia and India that is going to happen tomorrow, that India will win. ......Today's match today pits four-times champions Australia, the topranked team in one-day cricket, against defending champions India. Fans across the country are also holding special prayers for the Indian cricket team. The winners will go on to face the other co-hosts New Zealand next Sunday in the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The need for background information

Maharshi Parashara stresses the importance of background information for prediction which are desh (country) kaal (times) paatra (person/persons concerned. Astrologers without common sense
venture into prediction with a bravado these days of internet and with palpable stupidity as I showed in the case of the fellow who cannot distinguish between an amavasya and Shukla Pratipada birth from the position of Sun and Moon. And the astrologer who keeps bombarding his “predictions” about India lifting the World Cup, rather, retaining it 2015.

Now see why I singled out Australia, New Zealand and South Africa for winning the Cup. Now, as the position is, the winner will be either Australia or New Zealand.

a)All these teams have world’s best batsmen including greatest game changers whose strike rate is amazing, Maxwell, Mc Cullum and de Villiers.

b)They have world’s best fast bowlers and

c)Have first rate fielding sides.

d)Among these three Australia is world number one and has beaten India in the ten game series earlier this year with India winning none.

e)One year earlier New Zealand had beaten India 4-0 with India winning no match.

d)South Africa has beaten India many times though in the knockout stage India got two batsmen run out including de Villiers to notch up a remarkable victory.

e) India has beaten them on Indian soil frequently but got beaten badly on their soil and remember that the 2015 World Cup matches are being played in Australia where India has poorest record of wins.

f)All these three teams are clearly superior to India is the unmistakable record

g)Aditionally, while South Africa and New Zealand have also fine spinners h)In the league stage India had not to meet either Australia or New Zealand and in the semi finals when it met Australia it “rediscovered” its level
of poor performance once again.

Now use astrology by applying only a time tested astrological research which we do not have, as far as I know. I know of only one friend of mine who using prashna kundali has sometimes given remarkable predictions some years ago when we travelled together and heard running commentaries over radios while in the train or the bus. All others I have known have been more stupidly boastful and at the earliest bombard emails with their predictions wtih no sense of modesty or becoming humility.

It should have been kept in the mind that the matches were being played on the Australian soil where Indian record of wins is the poorest in all formats of cricket matches.
