ISLAM IN AFGHANISTAN (Part IV)
Well, the caste system was duly prevalent in India. In the times of Ashoka the Great, after the massive war and numerous deaths in Kalinga; Ashoka, full of remorse took comfort in the religion of non-violence viz. Buddhism. Buddhism spread far and wide in the Indian subcontinent (as discussed in third part in our series of articles on Afghanistan). But, if the whole society becomes Buddhist, where are the fighters to defend the nation? Afghanistan and Sind, two Frontier provinces of India, all turned Buddhist, with no Kshatriyas to fight and protect the nation. With Afghanistan and Sind, depleted of fighters, there was no one to save the nation against the invasion by invaders. read more...read more...
AFGHANISTAN'S HISTORY OF INVASIONS (V)
How is it that Afghanistan invaded India so many times and Afghanistan was not attacked as many times. When theft is committed, it is committed in the rich man's house. India has always been known to be a very rich country whereas it was not the case with Afghanistan. When Afghanistan is not a rich country, where is the question to invade it? read more...read more...

DISSOLVING EMPIRES: SCOTLAND DILEMMA

A voracious reader of serious books in English, very much senior to me and my class mates, had always impressed by us in our early college days. Those were the pre independence days and we eagerly awaited Indian independence. Not merely India but other colonies too would get independence , he assured us. Western imperialisms would vanish into the limbo of history he always insisted. His cocksureness was based on his close study of Oswald Spengler’s the Decline of the West.

Has the west declined ? In a way yes because its imperialisms have vanished but it still controls the world, through its economics, arms and frequent interventions everywhere where the great daddy USA takes the initiative. It will happen now in West Asia where ISIS is challenging it, and Saudi Arabia and other west Asian countries said to be secretly supporting ISIS.

But the great mighty British empire on which the sun never set is now, shrunk like a dried pear, is losing a part of what remains of the “great” Britain. Ofcourse, history will never call it the Small Britain even if it loses Scotland after the referendum  16 September.

Will Scotland vote for independenceof ?

Hindu New Year 2014First look at the Hindu New Year horoscope for the year 2014 with the afflicted fourth house, Saturn and Mars both retrograde aspect it but also Jupiter is promising some saving feature. Jupiter’s aspect is the last moment effort of the English leaders to save what remains of  the “Great” Britain with secessionist Scottish leaders in succeeding in taking away a slice of the country and declare independence.

The navamsha should be looked at to re read this story of Scottish independence to confirm it. Here it is worse as again the sixth lord Mars in the fourth joined by Venus also the twelfth lord is the message of wanting to “go away.”

Can a further clarification be sought from the monthly horoscope of September 2014 when the referendum is to be held.

The Soorya Veedhi chart does some time help. Here the story is no better, but dismal.

Here the exalted Saturn in the eleventh house is the story of allurements being offered. But see the fourth lord in the eighth house to know what awaits the referendum. With this news gripping the attention of Britons  the other  news of Kate Middleton promising to deliver  another baby will.

1801 Horoscope
Can the 1801 horoscope of UK help clarify it ? I have never used it, nor have seen anyone use it. I have wondered how it was adopted when the mighty British empire had been founded much earlier. In the absence of any other data, let it be scrutinized and some help sought. Comments are given against the charts.

The dasha at the time of voting for the referendum will be Rahu in the sixth, Jupiter, the sixth lord retrograde and aspecting the fourth house, Jupiter pratyantara dasha and Mercury sookshma the twelfth lord wanting to “go away”.

In the navamsha it is more depressing with Jupiter joined by  Mars in the twelfth house aspected by Saturn from the sixth house.

In the Dashamansha Rahu and Jupiter are in the eighth house involved with a bad exchange with Mercury.

Since I am testing this horoscope
for the first time, let me see the
chaturthamsha also for conformation.

The fourth lord with the twelfth
lord is not a promising story of
Scotland remaining within the
“mother country” here also.

Interesting facts about British kings and queens
Queen Victoria’s horoscope had shown enormous growth of the empire and it did happen when Disraeli flattered her and made her the Queen Empress of India. In the horoscope of King George VI the shrinkage of the empire has been clear and I have taught it to my students many times. Queen Elizabeth II has a horoscope with the eighth lord in the fourth house showing the dissolution of the remaining remnants of the empire. Her son Charles who may succeed her after February 2016, as it appears, has a debilitated fourth lord and may inherit something much less. It may be a country without Scotland and may be even  without Falklands. The son of Charles, Williams has a horoscope which shows further loss of a piece of that dried apple called “Great Britain” shrinking further. The horoscope of the royal baby born on 22 July 2013 shows worse situation as far as this shrinking country is concerned.

What next ? Well Kate Middleton is likely to deliver a baby girl in May 2015 between 3rd and  5th with nirayana Moon between Vrischika and  Makara is the risk one can take to predict the birth of the second baby of the future king of England, the king of a sunken land, with Scotland also going away now.
What will that child’s horoscope show ?
