MANDAL REPORT X-RAYED - APPENDICES
It was first of its kind broadcast message by Prime Minister Narendra Modi – an appeal for calm in his home state Gujarat. The message delivered in Gujarati with photo frames of two most famous Gujaratis, Mahatama Gandhi and Sardar Patel in the backdrop, is indicative of the magnitude of the social and administrative crisis that has set in the state. The sudden emergence of the phenomenon Hardik Patel who is demanding Other Backward Caste (OBC) status and consequent quota benefits in government jobs and educational institutions for economically prosperous, socially and politically dominant Patidar community has caught Gujarat and the nation by surprise. read more...read more...
FADING FEDERER vs DARING DJOKOVIC
In tennis, the crazy Indian fans are mostly males, with their favorites among the great foreign players and extremely fanatical and sentimental in their adoration of their favorite players one of whom Roger Federer is the supreme icon they worship. AMITABH BACHAN BLASTS-3

Dishonest politicians of India are known for their duplicity and saying in press statements and interviews that do not believe in astrology and that they never got right predictions from astrologers. As I have said earlier, these politicians are mostly interested in hearing about the destruction of their enemies in their own parties.

Do actors also say that and particularly Amitabh Bachchan ? My information and experience is totally different.

Here is one reaction to my piece (part one of BACHCHAN BLASTS 1). This is from a distinguished woman journalist who is very well informed.

Dear Mr Rao I read your article on Amitabh Bachchan denying reports of astrological remedies, etc. The man is a liar. If you look at his hands, his wife's hands and son's hands, they're studded with rings. Amitabh himself wears a huge blue saphire. Not for show, certainly. I've heard from a source that he goes to a tantrik in Benares. Where his bahu is concerned, her community, the Bunts, worship Bhootnath - Shiva as lord of the netherworld - and do all that goes with such worship.

.....Amitabh's father's autobiography for Penguin Books (English translation). It states that Harvanshrai's grandfather was so poor that he went to a saint of the Ramanand sect in Allahabad for blessings. The saint gave him three vessels and said that so long as his descendents had these, they would never lack. The turn in fortune began after that. I assume this branch of the family still has one of the vessels. Incidentally, I have it from someone who knows the Gandhis well that the split with the Bachchans was because ......
