TRAILANGA SWAMI - II
In 1810, Raja of Ujjain paid a visit to Kashi. He along with Kashi Naresh, was on a boat going towards Manikarnika ghat when he saw the shining figure of Swami sitting on water. On inquiry, he was told about the extra ordinary powers of the saint. The King was very impressed and as if sensing his wish to see him, Swami appeared on the boat. The King was glad and showed his extra ordinary bejeweled sword to him. The saint did not even think for a moment and threw the sword in water. When the King got in a fit of rage and grief, Swami put his hand in water and extracted two similar swords from the water. He asked the King to recognize his sword, which he obviously could not do. Swami told him sternly that he was troubled for the sword when he could not even recognize which one was his sword. That was his way to show him the futility of the physical attractions of the world. read more...read more...
JALLIANWALA BAGH MASSACRE
One year more than a century has passed, still no one has forgotten the brutality with which the atrocious killing at Jallianwala Bagh was carried out. Jallianwala Bagh is located at a distance of barely one and a half kilometers from the Golden Temple in Amritsar. On 13 Apr 1919, on the day of Baisakhi (an important Hindu festival) at 5:37 in the evening, when more than 10,000 people (some say there were 15,000 to 20,000) were gathered in the Jallianwala Bagh, acting Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer ordered to shoot at the unarmed, innocent public.

EARTHQUAKE IN DELHI

I was awake at 4 am today (26 November). I stay in a third floor apartment, which if the basement is counted, becomes the fourth floor. A quake shakes our apartments more than the apartments in the ground or second floors. The house then begins to rock and shake like a boat in a turbulent river. I have been prepared for it.

I am tired of counting all the turbulent events this year in India and Pakistan. Blasts, terrorism, Nandigram, Naxalite upsurge, blasts in three courts in UP targeting lawyers who refused to take up the cases of terrorists, adivasis (tribals) in Assam and Jharkhand agitating, Karnataka politics, Taslima exposing the fraudulent secularism of leftists of West Bengal---and now the earthquake in Delhi.

The lighter side of it is, one idiot box asked a woman numerologist to explain the Delhi quake and she was ready with a glib explanation!! It is why I call Indian television channels super-idiot boxes. I do not know if a chubby tarot card reading woman too has explained it!

First read the prediction given in 2004.

DREADFUL YEAR 2007

KN RAO

Without sounding to be a prophet of doom, let me answer a question put to me by friends who have read my astrological articles in Hindi for the last two years warning about the years 2007-2008 as dreadful. It is necessary to look at the danger indicated astrologically, the damage resulting both from manmade and natural calamities in the coming years, particularly in 2007-2008. Is the nation safe, particularly the capital of India, Delhi, is a question that must worry us.

India

In the case of India, it appears much worse. The New Year horoscope of 2007 shows affliction to the lagna by both Saturn and Mars with benefic in kendra and the best planet Jupiter in the eighth house. It is a war like situation.

In the middle of 2007, particularly in the month of August, Saturn Ketu conjunction in Simha with Mars in Vrisha and Mithuna are most dangerous potents for the safety of India and particularly the capital, Delhi.

Earthquakes
Though there has been no replicable astrological research on earthquakes, all indications in 2007 are of earthquakes in India and elsewhere. The city of Delhi falls now under a dangerous seismic belt, with a prominent fault, as seismologists has pointed out running from east Delhi towards Meerut. Delhi will in any case suffer some destruction, whether it is earthquake or war.

(Written on 24 August 2004)

It was maharshi Gargacharya who first gave the astrological explanation for earthquakes. Varahamihira gave some more hints. Some chakras we use in astrology give directions where it would take place. I make use of all these and therefore could see confidently that Delhi would be affected as it was today.

But I know it was only the beginning for next eighteen months.

But now seismologists and geologists are quietly taking to predicting earthquakes on the basis of astrology and with their knowledge of geology and seismology and they will do better than all astrologers put together.

Someday they will give to astrology a prestige which it does not have among irrational physical scientists and those pretenders who pose as intellectuals being obsessed with “scientism”.

Rao Ji,

Namaskar,

I just read (5 mins back) www.timesofindia.com and headlines were of an earthquake in Delhi. I read your article earlier this year and about your prediction of earthquake hitting Delhi. This is almost unreal to me and tells me almost everything is out of man’s control.

This is a remarkable prediction and your knowledge of Astrology is beyond normal
astrologers. The reports of the Meteorological Department of India and some websites were:
